TOWAKAI UNIVERSAL MEDICAL SERVICE
A:Hello everyone. My name is Mark, a Filipino certified care worker.
I came from a place called Laguna in the Philippines. Laguna is located about 2 hours by car from the capital Manila, and has an atmosphere similar to that of Ibaraki prefecture in Japan. In an area surrounded by mountains and rich in nature, my parents used the source of the mountains as domestic water. There is also a famous lake that is visited by tourists from home and abroad.
A:A family-like relative who had taken care of me from an early age married a Japanese.
The reason was that my relatives who watched a Japanese TV program told me, “It seems that Japan is looking for a foreign care worker.” Until then, it was always said that “I want Mark to do something useful to people,” and I have attended a nurse’s school, so I challenged myself to try my best to meet my expectations. Did.
As an aside, the class name at the time of training for EPA candidates is interesting! My year was named by the type of animal, I was a fox, Dennis I’m currently working with was a raccoon dog, and there was also a squirrel class. The way of dividing seems to change every year, and there seems to be a year of flowers. It’s like a Japanese nursery school.
A:When I first came to Japan as an EPA employee, I was not in the Tums Group but in another corporation, and during that time I acquired the national qualification of a certified care worker.
However, after I got the national qualification, the way I spent the day changed drastically, and most of the time I went to the site, so I couldn’t study Japanese very much.
Although my work became difficult, I didn’t have time to learn Japanese, and the days when I felt frustrated and anxious were not easy both mentally and physically.
It was four years that I ran through so desperately that I couldn’t breathe, so I decided to return home once and set aside time to spend time with my family. I also thought that I would be able to use the money I earned in Japan to be filial to my family, who respected my child’s will and were willing to send me overseas and have been constantly supporting me for four years.
A:When I was thinking of looking back at my future while living with my family in the Philippines and trying again to see how far I could grow as a certified care worker, Chris (working at tums SAKURA no MORI MICHIAI), who I met as an EPA classmate, said, ” The Tums Group, where I work, is going to the Philippines to attend an EPA local joint briefing, so why don’t you meet someone from the company at that time? ” When I met Mr. Yamashita and the members of the Universal Human Resources Division at the venue, these people must be kind people! I want to work with these people! I strongly thought. Now that I have joined the Tums Group, I can confidently say that my feelings at that time were not wrong.
Another deciding factor is that the support system for foreign staff is in place. I already had a certified care worker qualification, but if you are an employee who is aiming to pass the national examination, you will have time to study while you are working, and in some cases, you will make efforts such as arranging necessary teaching materials. I felt that it was an environment that supported me. I also found it encouraging to have a Universal Human Resources Division that supports the lives of foreign employees both publicly and privately.
A:Since I was away from the long-term care job, when I first joined Kawaguchi Sakura no Mori, I was worried whether I could help the resident with proper care, but the resident said every day. Thank you for everything. ”
Also, at present, I cannot go out freely due to the influence of corona, and I think that everyone is stressed in various ways. I had time to sing, laugh, and enjoy entertainment with the residents through recreation at work, so I was able to lead a fulfilling life without accumulating stress, and I am delighted with such an environment. I feel.
A:Now that the stay home is being advocated, I am doing stretching at home to improve my physical strength.
The body is the capital of the long-term care worker. Of course, I also have time to spend time watching dramas and listening to music. It becomes a habit to unconsciously think of the resident’s face while taking a good rest, and I often wonder, “Is the resident okay, are you still doing well today?” ..
Since there are many foreigners in Japan, I have made friends through my hobbies and made many friends. When the corona converges, I wish I could go outside and meet someone who could be called a partner ♪
A:I think my awareness of work is different.
There are people in Japan who work even after retirement. I think Filipinos are working without rooting that much. My parents have also switched from working at a company to self-employed and working in an environment where they can work comfortably without being tied to time.
A:My dream now is to stay in the Tums Group all the time! I will do my best to study Japanese so as not to lose to the juniors who are aiming to pass the national examination, and if I pass N1 *, I would like to challenge the national qualification of a nurse.
At Kawaguchi Sakura Hospital in the corporation, there are seniors of Indonesian nationality who have double-acquired national qualifications for nurses and certified care workers. I also want to pursue the big back that constantly strives for myself, my family, and everyone in the community.
A:I think there are many worries about working overseas, but since there are many senior foreign employees in the Tums Group, we can work together without any pain alone. If I meet you someday, let’s talk a lot!
Facility manager Yoko Yamashita
Kawaguchi Sakura no Mori has 26 foreign employees from three countries, and 187 employees are working at the facility corporation as a whole.
Different ages, genders, nationalities, and backgrounds have different personalities.
We believe that flexible response on the part of the facility is indispensable in order for the facility to work as it is without restraining individuality, and we pay particular attention to religion and sexual minorities.
In addition to adopting halal meals for Muslim meals, the facility arranges waiting rooms and changes the business contents depending on the situation during Ramadan during fasting and worship.
In addition, changing rooms and restrooms can be selected for men, women, and multiple purposes, aiming to be a facility that is close to LGBTQ. It is difficult for anyone to truly understand the feelings of the other person without their own experience.
However, you can listen to the other person’s story and respond to the voice of your heart, “I want you to do this.” As a facility manager, I would like to realize a comfortable workplace by incorporating the requests of staff as much as possible.
